SSC JE Exam Pattern 2025 For Paper 1
As discussed above, the SSC JE Examination for Paper 1 consists of 200 objective-type questions, of a total of 200 marks, and each question has a weightage of one mark. The SSC JE Paper 1 Examination is conducted in an online Computer-based Test (CBT) mode. The SSC JE Paper 1 (Preliminary) Examination is mainly of two sections, (i) Non-Technical Part and (ii) Technical Part. The Non-Technical Part consists of two subjects, one is General Intelligence & Reasoning ( 50 Questions), and the other is General Awareness ( 50 Questions).
The Technical Part consists of 100 multiple-choice questions related to the Engineering disciplines (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical) you have applied for. The Technical section of the Paper 1 examination has a weightage of a total of 100 marks, and each question has a weightage of one mark.

SSC JE Exam Pattern 2025 for Paper 2
The SSC JE Paper 2 is also a multiple-choice question (MCQ) based examination conducted in an online mode. The SSC JE Paper 2 (Mains) exam consists of a technical paper of 100 questions, and each question has 3 marks. The total marks allotted for the SSC JE Paper 2 are 300 marks for a total of 100 questions.
The SSC JE Paper 2 Exam 2025 is mainly to test the technical knowledge of the candidates. The questions asked in Paper 2 are from engineering disciplines (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical). Candidates will get the questions in the SSC JE Paper 2 examination according to the engineering discipline they have applied.
The duration of the SSC JE Paper 2 (Mains) Examination is 120 minutes (2 hours). SSC JE Exam Pattern 2025: Marking Scheme Paper 1
The SSC JE Examination for Paper 1 consists of a total of 200 questions, for which 1 mark is allotted for every correct answer marked and 0.25 marks is deducted for every wrong answer marked, and there is no negative marking for unattempted questions and no marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.

SSC JE Exam Pattern 2025: Marking Scheme Paper 2
The SSC JE Exam for Paper 2 consists only of 100 technical questions related to the engineering disciplines(Civil/Electrical/Mechanical) of 300 marks. For every correct answer, 3 marks will be given, and for every incorrect answer, 1/3 mark will be deducted. For any unattempted question, no marks will be deducted.
