SSC JE Eligibility Criteria 2025: Age Relaxation
For the candidates who belong to a specific category, like SC/ST/OBC etc., are given age relaxation in the upper age limit according to their specific category. The OBC candidates are provided an age relaxation of 3 years, SC/ST Candidates are provided an age relaxation of 5 years.

SSC JE Eligibility Criteria 2025: Nationality Requirements
According to the Staff Selection Commission, a candidate must be a citizen of India or must fulfill any of the Nationality requirements mentioned below.
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or
- Tibetan refugee who migrated to India before 1st January 1962, to permanently settle in India or,
- The person of Indian origin who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention to permanently settle in India.

Candidates who have a diploma as an educational qualification must have 2 years of working experience in the related discipline as mentioned in the notification. Degree holding candidates do not require any work experience to apply for the post of Junior Engineer in SSC.
